Police Citizen Academy

In our effort to make Shakopee a safe and fun place to live and work, we constantly strive to enhance our relationship with the community. 

To strengthen our partnership with the community, the Shakopee Police Department Citizen Academy will provide participants the ability (through practical application) to gain perspective on the many challenges faced by law enforcement officers.  

The six week program is designed to provide residents insight on the inner working of the Shakopee Police Department.

Next Police Citizen Academy Dates:

When: Tuesdays, April 3 - May 8, 6 - 9 p.m.
Where: Shakopee Police Department
Cost: Free
Registration Requirements:  Please complete the application form and return it to the Shakopee Police Department as soon as possible. Openings will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis. Registrations must be received by March 20, 2012 at 4:30 p.m.
